Leap Recruit Limited (company number 08278930) is committed to protecting the privacy of our candidates, clients and users of our website. We want to provide a safe and secure user experience. We will ensure that the information you submit to us via our website or through any of our offices is only used for the purposes set out in this policy.

 

The information we collect and how we use it

 

Leap Recruit Limited may collect your personal details, including your name, contact details (including e-mail address), sensitive personal information such as details of criminal convictions and ethnic origin and information from your CV. This information is held, used and disclosed by us as follows:

  • to match your details with job vacancies, to assist us in finding a position that is most suitable for you and to send your personal information (including sensitive personal information) to clients in order to apply for jobs;
     
  • to answer your enquiries;
     
  • to direct-market products and services, advise you of news and industry updates, events, promotions and competitions, reports and other information. Where we do so, you will be able to unsubscribe from such communications;
     
  • where you are registered as a candidate on our database, your personal information may be accessible by our other offices wherever they are based to enable them to provide you with recruitment services and for the purposes of business development, systems development and testing.

 

  • to trusted third parties where we have retained them to provide services that you or our clients have requested, such as reference, qualification and criminal reference checking services (as required), verification of the details you have provided from third party sources, psychometric evaluations or skills tests. These third parties comply with similar undertakings of privacy and confidentiality as Leap Recruit Limited;
     
  • to third parties who perform functions on our behalf and who also provide services to us, such as professional advisors, IT consultants carrying out testing and development work on our business technology systems, research and mailing houses and function co-ordinators. These third parties comply with similar undertakings of privacy and confidentiality as Leap Recruit Limited;
     
  • we may also pass your personal information to, or allow access to such information by, Leap Recruit Limited to enable them to use your personal data for the purposes set out above, depending on which job you are seeking or the location where you are seeking a job. 
  • if Leap Recruit Limited or its business merges with or is acquired by another business or company, we may share personal information with the new owners of the business or company and their advisors and if this happens, you will be sent notice of such event;

Job alerts

 

To subscribe to job alerts emails, you will be required to provide your e-mail address, which will be used for the purpose of keeping you informed, by e-mail, of the latest jobs in your nominated industry and/or will provide you with industry news via job alert emails. Should you decide that you no longer wish to receive this information, you can unsubscribe by emailing admin@leaprecruit.co.uk and requesting your email address is removed from the job alerts.

 

Curriculum vitae ("CV")

 

We give you the option of providing your CV to one of our consultants. You can do this either to apply for a specific advertised job or for consideration by our recruitment consultants for positions as they come up. Your CV will be stored in the Leap Recruit Limited database and will be accessible by Leap Recruit Limited recruitment consultants in the UK. You can update your CV at any time, simply by emailing your recruitment consultant to submit a new CV. Your old CV will automatically be replaced.

 

Aggregate information about Leap Recruit online visitors

 

We gather information and statistics collectively about all visitors to our website, for example, which area users access most frequently and which services users access the most. We only use such data in the aggregate form. This information helps us determine what is most beneficial for our users and how we can continually improve our online services to create a better overall experience for our users. We may also undertake marketing profiling to help us identify services or jobs which may be of interest to you.

 

Use of Cookies

 

A cookie is a small data file which is sent from a web server to a web browser when that browser visits the server's site. Complaints policy

 

Leap Recruit Ltd is committed to providing a quality service to our customers. If you are not satisfied with the level of service, you have received from us we would like you to tell us about it. All complaints are taken very seriously, and any feedback is appreciated as it provides us with an opportunity to improve our standards. All complaints and feedback are referred on to the Directors. The Directors are responsible for objectively reviewing and investigating any concerns you may have without delay.

Procedure

 1. We will send you written acknowledgement (email or letter), on receipt of your complaint within 5 working days. We will also inform you of the Director who will be dealing with your complaint.

 

2. We will then record your complaints in our central database and start to investigate on your behalf. This is likely to involve the following steps:
 

  • Examining your record to ascertain the sequence of relevant events & related correspondence
  • Interviewing the relevant members of staff for clarification on the issue 
  • Liaising with senior management as appropriate

 

3. We aim to acknowledge, fully investigate and duly resolve all complaints within 14 working days.

 

4. A full written response to your complaint will be drafted by the appointed member and sent to you with supporting documentary evidence (if applicable).

  

5. If you remain unsatisfied with the decision, you can contact the relevant industry trade association.
